Question about chargers

Hi guys,

I'm just curious if I can use a normal European charger (says 230Volts on it, but not 110Volts) in the USA. Will it work? (with a plug converter, not voltage converter)

Or will it fry if I plug it into a 110Volts wall socket?

I dont think it will work because the power input needed by your charger to work is 230V, which is more than the power in the US is only 110V. It wont fry for sure.
 
It won't fry because you would use a 230V device in a 110V outlet. The opposite would fry.

But you can't use it with just a simple plug. The plug will just change the orientation of
the pins so that you can plug it in the outlet. it will not change the voltage too.

you need a converter.

if you visit this site you see that they have power converters.
they have some simple plugs but they mention
"NOTE: these plugs DO NOT convert power, they simply allow plug type X to fit socket type Y. To use most US appliances overseas you will need a Power Converter."

I am a Chinese,but I love the political of America , England,Austra ,German !!
 
Will can't use chargers made for Europe in USA . You nedd an adaptor .In USA the power sources have different format than in Europe .
