I have a Toyota Avalon and the shape of the speaker hole isn't round. If I bought speakers for my car, how would it be installed? Meaning, if there is too much room or not enough room, what is done to make it fit? I'll be getting a professional to install it for me, but I'd just like to know a couple things before I decide to buy them. Also, is it a bad idea to take it to Best Buy's or Fry's Electronics to have them install it? None of the audio shops in my area are very good from what I've heard.

you can fit round speakers in your door that protection stuff is just for design the speakers don't look like that,. so you will have no problem replacing your speakers. About hooking them up, you should get some mates who have installed car audio and do it your selves it will save a shit lot of money plus you will knowledge of how to fit speakers to a car. come next time you upgrade your speakers you will know what to do. So do it your self and learn. you will feel better that you install your self and know what your did is correct.
