Question about broadband

I'm from the Chicago area where Cricket is new here. I saw a Cricket kiosk at the mall & inquired about broadband service. I fogot to ask the guy a few questions so can anyone answer these for me:

What is the internet speed (bps); & also can a router be used to have access on multiple computers?

Thanks.

I have no firsthand experience but I have been told its about 400-700 kbps download and 100 kbps upload but it could vary a lot depending on signal strength, day, time, network load, etc.

I think there is an adapter out there to use the card as or with a router, or you could internet share from your computer. If this is going to be a permanent router then I would just look into a regular ISP.

There is a 5GB "limit"

you are prohibited from using it as a router per the terms. but technically there is no reason you would be unable to.

i'd check locally for your speeRAB. some areas are now on rev.a and will have faster upload speeRAB than us in rev.0 land

also the 5gb limit is soft, meaning they reserve the right to block your access to high speeRAB but you will not be shut off, only slowed down.
