Question about books?
For my 9th grade Honors summer reading project I have to read one of the following books:

A Parrot in the Oven by Victor Martinez;
Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger;
Lord of the Flies by William Golding;
River Cross my Heart by Breena Clarke

Which one do you recommend.
 
CATCHER IN THE RYE
i love this book
& it is a very known book
that most teachers talk about
 
Everyone's taste in reading differs, so you need to discover which appeals to you more. First, if you can find a summary of each book, read that to see if anything appeals to you. Skim a few pages to see if you can follow the writing style and vocabulary without difficulty. If you start a book and just can't get interested in it, toss it and try another. You are lucky to have a choice. Personally, I would not choose Catcher in the Rye or Lord of the Flies. I would choose River Cross My Heart.
