We've had SC for 7 years, but I'm thinking we're going to switch to Bell for a couple of reasons, one being what I believe to be superior hardware. My question is in regards to the programming credits they offer with the purchase of their recievers. Will the programming credit be applied to my choice of programming, or only against their Max pkg? When we started with SC, they insisted we take their top package for a month or two, and applied the credit to that. Had we had the choice of package at the beginning, the credits would have gone much further than the first month or two.

Cheers.

the credit is applied to your account on your initial activation, it doesn't matter which package you chose. Let's say you get the 9241, you'll have a balance of -$200 already applied to your account.

Bell usually requires a minimum amount of programming (for example 52$/month) for you to have the credits

Definately not true. Speaking from my own activation, I wasn't sure what I wanted so, I only registered for the basic for the first few months. My credits were applied there on my first bell TV bill.
