Somebody must know more about this. I'm looking for the name or the senator (?) who is championing the idea of restructuring the bankruptcy law to allow judges to lower interest rate on mortgages used for primary residences (they can only do it on secondary homes now). I believe it's a NY senator. I'm trying to write an informed letter to my congressman about this idea, which is the best I've heard of in this whole bailout Wall St. mess. Thanks!
