First of all, I don't hate arabs or my boss. My boss is actually a very nice, helpful man.. but he doesnt respect the women employees as much as we feel he should. Is this his culture or just him? He came over from Saudia Arabia when he was 12.
All of the employees that work here are females (except 1, and he's related to my boss). And I'm not the only one that feels this way, most of us actually do.
Examples: He doesn't make eye contact when talking to us, but he does when he talks to men. The same applies to female guests (we work at a hotel). He won't make as much eye contact or hand gestures as he does to men.
He doesn't ever want to talk to us (just talk) but he'll sit around for hours talking to the male employee.
Are women less valuable in the arab culture? or is it something else? He is muslim.
Also--- on a side note, does anyone know what Ramkabir means? Its been on his office phone for 3 years and none of us know what it means. We're to scared to ask lol. Thanks!
