Question about a tattoo in the Army.?

I have a tattoo on the back of my neck.
Not visible in uniform, nothing profane or gang related, etc..
I was previously in the Air Force DEP, went thru MEPS and everything. The tattoo was documented. So obviously I qualified and met their tattoo policy.

Will this tattoo be a problem while joining the Army? I figured I should be fine since it met the policy of the Air Force.

& Yes I know I should've thought about this when I got the tattoo. You learn from your mistakes, lol.
 
Your fine. Meps cleared you to begin with. Tatoo's are generally a meps deal, and if need be a waiver could be sent off, but your good. You just can't show it in a class A...that's it..and I've seen plenty showing in class A's...lol.

Visible or not the new Army policy on tattoos on the back of the neck is they have to be directly on the center of the back of the neck as in an imaginary line going up ones spine. Bottom line is they have to be on the center of the back of the neck and not on the side or at a wacky angle.

The new policy allows recruits and all Soldiers to sport tattoos on the neck behind an imaginary line straight down and back of the jawbone, provided the tattoos don’t violate good taste.

“The only tattoos acceptable on the neck are those on the back of the neck,” said Hank Minitrez, Army G-1 Human Resources Policy spokesman. “The ‘back’ of the neck is defined as being just under the ear lobe and across the back of the head. Throat tattoos on that portion of the neck considered the front, the ear lobe forward) are prohibited.”
