Question about a health test?

I have a college-mandated urine test at the hospital today. It's being done in conjunction with a tuberculosis test. Stupid question, I know, but here it is: will they look for drugs? Everyone has told me that since they aren't looking for them, they won't find them, but maybe someone on here knows more. Any information would be appreciated.

What is the point of the mandated urine test if not to test for drugs? Doesn't make sense to me. I would refuse all testing unless it is explained, in detail, what the test is for and how the results will be used. Unlike other medical facilities, college physicians are not bound by law to Federal privacy laws. If however, it is so that you can play sports, of course, your option is to not play the sport.

For instance, have they told you that if indeed, you do test positive for exposure to TB, even if you don't have it and are given the 1 year of antibiotics that is required, you may NOT be able to get health insurance in the future? My sister is among 4 people I know who had positive tests, never had TB, but are unable to get health insurance now unless it is employer provided. She lost the job with employer provided health insurance and now has to pay $400 a month for state sponsored health insurance for those who are uninsurable. The head of the Public Health unit even talked to the insurance company, telling them it was only preventative, but they won't budge on it. Yeah, I bet they didn't tell you that!
