Question about a digital photo frame.....?

We bought a Coby Digital Photo Frame,brand DP-5588.When we inserted our SD card into it and turned it on,the main menu says "not supported file" at the top of the screen.What does that mean?BTW,we're using a Sandisk 1 GB SD card.What should we do?We need to have this thing working by this weekend,it's a gift for my dad.
