I have owned a 98 Dodge Intrepid ES with a V6 engine for 5+years. Other than regular maintance, I have never had to do any repairs on this car. Now I am having trouble with it! The car seems to run fine, then all of a sudden will cut off while your driving it and wont start back. We have replaced the fuel pump relay, because we were told thats what it was. When we replaced the relay, the car ran fine for a day. We were told it was the battery cables, and replaced them also. The car ran great all weekend, and broke down on the way to work Monday morning. It may be considencial, but if you mess with the fuse box under the hood, it sometimes starts back! The battery is getting charge, because it will start after sitting for two or three days. When you try to start the car back, it cranks for a moment or two then clicks, which I was told was the battery was dead, however a few minutes later the car starts! It sounds to me like there is a bad connection somewhere, but where on earth would i even start to look? PLEASE help! Im at my wits end and The car has already cost me over $200.00 in towing!!
Kerry, i appreciate the information, but im not willing to pay to ask a question.. yet! lol :)
