I decided to give Neutrogena's On the Spot 2.5% BP a try and used it last night before bed. Are you supposed to wash this stuff off in the morning? I only wash my face once, which is at night, and in the morning I just pat my face for a while with a warm wet washcloth to get the oils from sleeping off. I use olay's sensitive foaming wash (while waiting for my Alpha Hydrox foaming wash to arrive) and complex 15 moisturizer.

I also put a little more moisturizer on in the morning (even water will dry my face a bit) but Im noticing that the areas I put it on are getting itchy as the day goes on, but not having the redness that people talk about when irritated from BP. I actually notice that my face is not as red as before. Does anyone know if this sounRAB like an irritation even though it took a long time for me to be itchy? I have used proactive's 2.5% BP repairing lotion but dont remeraber it being itchy. Is the Neutrogena's stronger since the repairing lotion is supposed to double as the moisturizer?

Hi saphire,
I use that same on-spot Neutrogena. I wash my face twice a day with neutrogena soap. So I guess the on-spot ointment remains about 8-10 hs. I use the spot-on in the mornings, and when I come back home from work i wash my face again.

The peroxide will dry your face and probably produce irritation, it's a very powerful chemical.
