Question about 1995 ford mustang transmission?

My 1995 ford mustang is having problems with the transmission. It starts to slip and you can't get any speed but then when you step on the gas it stops slipping and goes. Do I need to buy a new transmission or is there some kind of adjustment that can be made? Also can you provide a website that would have this info?
