I have recently noticed that a couple of times when accelerating hard (in the wet or the dry) taking the revs to approx 3.5 - 4k rpm, I am experiencing what I believe is known as "wheel hop or "axel tramp", I am getting a 'shudder' feeling and feedback off the wheels. I noticed it only happens when taking off in a straight line, not left or right. The very few times I have accelerated hard I have not experienced it every time.
I posted this question as I wanted to check that I hadn't caused any damage to the car and was after a couple of opinions? I can't see how it could of damaged anything, but I'm no mechanic!!
