I need one that is useable on prepaid an as well as in the price up to 250. What phone out there could I get being my best bet besides the Virgin mobile switchback or strobe on alltell? If anyone knows of a phone POST I have been keyboardless for too long!
 
I think you've pretty much hit your bases. I would go with the Strobe for a couple reasons. First of all it'll leave you with some extra cash because it's below what you're willing to spend while it has the features you're looking for. Second is the price, at 75 cents a day on AlltelU you can get unlimited texting. Finally, the coverage of AlltelU combines Alltel's roaming partners and you have access to Verizon, Sprint, etc. signals while Virgin is limited to Sprint. It sounds like an easy decision to me.
 
You can always try www.craigslist.org you'll be able to find local sellners. I'd go for a sidekick 2 over the strobe or switchback.. You'll pay $1 for unlimited email/text/aim/yim/web.... and you're getting a html web not some watered down wap browser.
