Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill is to be divided into two

Well lets just look at it like this

they could make $50,000,000 from releasing it as a film
or $90,000,000 from two parts, as that way they can charge you twice to see it all.....

I wonder in which one they will show the fantastic killing scene with that woman (cant remember her name) and the sword.

I think its being split into 2 for mose reasons than money. Maybe the plot of the film moves to slow for a nearly 3 hour film. Whatever it is, i doubt that ol' Quentin will dissapoint.

Smells like an 'executive decision' then.... Hmm....what other Hollywood Blockbuster is split into two parts??? :D

Yeah, unless it's another 'Jackie Brown'. 10 minutes of entertainment followed by hours of boredom  then 20 minutes of excitment at the end - not exactly the best he could have done.

As for 3 Hours being too long (anyone else smell the Horse's faecal matter) erm...try looking at some of the running times of the greatest films ever made - most are at least 2 hours!

What other films are in two parts (Not Sequels)

I can't think of any off hand.

But got:

Matrix Trilogy
LOTR

As these were planned as a three film

And there's Star Wars

But others like Harry Potter, are just based on books, and others like American Pie were not intended to be a trilogy but ended up like it. same as Scream & Back 2 the future.

Would Appricate some suggestions, maybe i do know some just not today, lol

You can add Back To The Future Parts 2 and 3 to the list. They were filmed back to back and then 'split' to create two different movies - well that's my understanding of it...

They were made as two films, and were always planned to be two films. They were simply made at the same time...

Kill Bill is taking a film, that was designed to be one film... and splitting it into two...

Yeah this sort of thing i was looking for films designed to be one, that choose to be two at the end. Gotta be a first in blockbusters

He's cut it into 2 parts so he can include the whole of the book in the film & not have to cut bits out, 90 mins was not long enough to fit the whole book in.
