Quentin Tarantino's Inglorious Bastards

I've read the script four times now and I have to be honest. On first read, I found it alright but gradually, I have now come to the conclusion that it is a complete mess. It's terrible. The dialogue is fine, but the story is really stupid. Quentin might have got away with Kill Bill, creating his own movie world, but in IB, he re-writes history to the point of multiple eye rolling icons.
The only reason Brad Pitt is in this is because he's bankable, without him, QT would have had another Death Proof on his hanRAB.

What pains me is that Quentin believes this is a masterpiece and for those wanting something along the lines of Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction or Jackie Brown, you're not in luck, because this script is as stupid and unrealistic as Death Proof.

I'm not even going to read the script before seeing the film... unrealistic? it's a film, not a documentary on War.

I'll be seeing this. Deathproof was weak for the most part but it was still good, especially the action sequences.

I'll probably be seeing it too, but I do think Quentin is losing grasp of what he can get away with. I'd expect that kind of film from Kevin Smith, but not Tarantino.

Watch what you say, the Tarantino fanboys will be here on mass before long.

Tarantino has been writing complete fanboy wank for ages now. He does soundtracks better than anybody though, shame a decent soundtrack isn't enough to make a film any good.

Exactly

Personally I loved Deathproof (who cares if its "realistic?")

The only problem I have with Inglorious BastarRAB is Brad Pitt, why oh why does he have to be in it?

From the descriptions of his character, I'm sure Brad Pitt can pull it off wonderfully. Look at him in Snatch, 12 Monkeys, and he looks weird in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

I don't want to read the script. I'll just go see it when it's done.

I found Deathproof interesting and entertaining but it wasn't overly amazing. The final car chase sequence was brilliant, though... Zoe Bell is a nut case.

As for Pitt, I have no problem with him. He has impressed me, namely Snatch, 12 Monkeys (as mentioned) and Fight Club.

Anyway, for those interested, there appears to be some leaked on-set pics here:
