I live in Southwest Florida and Queen Palm Trees are common, mine is full grown and is next to a telephone pole/streetlight. Just this week I look at my palm tree and it looks like it is leaning toward the telephone pole. The branches touch the pole in a strong wind. I am not sure if it was leaning before, like even eight months ago.;, maybe I am paranoid, but it looks like the trunk of the tree is leaning, at an angle of fifteen degrees from vertical. I have been comparing a lot of other queen palm trees and they don't have that much lean. If it leans a lot more, I will have to cut the tree down and I don't want to, because it is the only tree in that part of the yard. Please, palm tree expert, what do you think, do these trees sometimes lean if the ground gets very saturated in a rain? We had a big rain about 10 days ago.
