I currently have a 9200 and a 3100. I'm considering buying the 9242 and replacing the 3100 with the 9242 thereby having 2 PVRs.

Any reason why this won't work?

Thanks.

It'll work great...you just need 1 extra coax to the new 9242.
And make sure the UHF remotes are on different channels.

None at all...
In fact, you can have both pvr's hooked up (using cable splitters) to backfeed the sd pvr signal to all of your tvs. The boxes will let you modulate the channel outputs(usually 73 and up is good) so you could say tune to channel 73 for the 9200, and 83 for the 9242...This way you can expand how much recording space you have buy simply combining the outputs...

Actually just to expand on i hate tv's thinking for the SD outputs, the 9200 just outputs Tuner 2 via the Coax out, while the 9242 outputs both Tuners, so you can end up pumping 3 seperate signals around the house.
