Putting Cricket On NAM2 (My MetroPCS MyShot)

*I'm sorry if this is in the wrong forum. In the MetroPCS forum we have a separate sub-forum for Flashing and Modifications. I didn't see anything like that here. Feel free to move this thread at anytime if it belongs somewhere else.*

*I have the Samsung U430 also know as the Samsung MyShot which is sold by both MetroPCS and Cricket.*

I'm thinking about putting Cricket on NAM2. That way, I can switch it whenever I want just to check the signal. I don't want it activated or anything, I just want it to have a recent PRL so I can check the signal. So when I'm driving down the road if I decide I want to check out Cricket's signal, I can.

IMPORTANT QUESTION: If I put Cricket on NAM2 will that void my phone's warranty in ANY way?

If the answer to that question is "No, it will not void the phone's warranty in any way.", then, I would like some tips on how to put Cricket on NAM2. If the answer to that important question is "Yes, it will void the phone's warranty.", then, forget it. I won't put Cricket on there then.

No, loading a PRL on nam 2 won't void your warranty afaik. Just don't let them check nam 2

I'm sure there is a way to clear out NAM2 and put it back to the default that it is at now. As long as the phone will still power up, I'll be good. Otherwise, just need to hope they don't check it.

Any tips on how to load a PRL? I know a quick search will probably do it, I just don't have the time to look it all up right now.

CDMA workshop will load the PRL to Nam 2 for you. I suggest using that.

So I get CDMA Workshop, connect phone to computer, and then load PRL. Where do I find the PRL?
