if there is a bolt on installation for your car (and i think eaton has a supercharger for the 3.8 engine) no its not a difficult job- IF YOU HAVE wrenching skills & good set of sockets, and understand the concepts of the intake system - the engine is NOT lifted out.
BUT ALSO....key to a supercharger installation is re-tune of the engine's management system which is best accomplished by performance shop pro-tune.....without a re-tune your engine will not run properly.
in addition - to properly complete the installation you will require the additional modifications:
-cold air intake and throttle body spacer
-performance exhaust system, catbacks
-performance headers.
and you can search out those on the net.
if you have not worked on a car previously all of these installations can be challenging-especially headers and supercharger linkages.
