putting a buick 400 in a chevelle?

so, i have a 1969 chevelle without an engine and transmission. I havent done much with cars. Now my buddy has a 400 engine out of a 1967 buick gs. i was gonna rebuild that engine and either have a turbo 350 or 400, or he also has a munci 4 speed he could sell me. i was just wondering if the engine would work with those transmissions, i know they both are gm's, but i just want to know other peoples opinions
in response, so i figured id have to change the engine mountings, but the transmission would work, it is out of a chevy, but everything else would be fine as long as the engine is mounted properly, is that correct
 
At that time GM used 2 different transmission mountings. There was Chevy, or Buick Olds & Pontiac. You can use either trans, it just needs to have come from a Buick Olds Or Pontiac to fit your Buick motor.
