Put on 4 pounds after a somewhat long bike ride.?

Its probably just water retention, but bike riding does also build muscle.
Try measuring yourself and you might find you lose inches rather than pounds :)

Yesterday I rode my bike over 30 miles. I haven't done that since last summer. It was hot and I was sweating pretty bad most of the time. by the time I got back, I was a little dizzy. I probably should've taken it easier since I haven't done it for so long. Anyway.. I was expecting to see some weight loss today, but I was 4 pounds heavier. How does that happen? I didn't eat more than normal or anything. I know that significant weight loss doesn't happen overnight and that if I did lose weight, it would be mostly water weight. But to put on four pounds seems kinda strange.

Could be anything, from dodgy scales to food and water. How long since you last weighed yourself? That can be a factor, because body weight naturally fluctuates. if you are really concerned, see a doctor.
