take the fuel line off the carb and turn the key on and see what kind of fuel flow you are getting. would be even better if you have access to fuel pressure gauge to check it properly. if you' are not getting much fuel coming out there then change the filter under the frame and you may also have a secondary filter near the carb that looks like a pipe fitting almost also you may have another inline filter in there somewhere just follow your fuel like from the tank to the carb and replace any filters you see then try the test again. if you are getting what seems to be a sufficient amount of fuel to the carb then you are probably looking a carb rebuild which shouldn't break the bank too much. was it runnig before this or has it set for a long time? carb may be all gummed up inside. fairly simple to do yourself it your mechanically inclined. carb kits generally come with an instruction sheet and schematic. let me know what you find out.
