Push

Yeah im planning on going to watch it tomorrow after work with my friend. Although im not expecting much as the trailers have not got me that excitied about it. It does remind me a bit of Jumper which I thought was ok but could have been so much better. Im expecting the same from Push but I hope im wrong!
 
Just saw the advert for it.

Looks a bit like jumpers to me (based on trailers as I haven't seen Jumpers either). replacing jumping with having the force.
 
Just back from seeing this. If you're into Heroes / X-Men, I'd say this was an obvious watch and actually not a bad little film.

A little rough around the edges and could do with a little trimming timewise, but I found it mostly enjoyable. The Hong Kong setting made a change from a standard US bound film and offered some different sights and sounRAB. There's a good (but simple) mythology to be expanded upon here in a sequel, some great set-pieces - mainly involving Chris Evans' character. Dakota Fanning puts in a quirky performance as a 'Watcher', with the ability to see into the future. Camilla Belle looks too much like a teen to have been a true love interest for Evans, though.

Just a shame that the main characters all displayed the same powers, with little variation seen. Perhaps that'll be rectified in a sequel, which I hope there will be.

Rating: 8/10. Recommended.
 
Just watched this and gotta say I wasnt impressed. Maybe Im a bit dim but the storyline was a bit confusing and didnt seem to be half as clever as the writers intended. Was really looking forward to it cos I enjoyed the director paul mcguigans last film lucky number slevin. Some of the acting was a bit wooden to say the least. A very poor superhero movie in an era when superhero movies are at the top of their game. 4/10 IMHO
 
Dakota Fanning seriously....looks like one of the Olsen Twins now. I saw this movie and to be honest....it had a great premise but was a big let down.
 
Dakota Fanning as a young watcher is one of the main reasons I want to see this..just the thought of a adoloscent having such a big job would be interesting to watch, I'm assuming the watcher is like a guide?
 
I watched this at the weekend and I have to say I was really disappointed. The plot was confusing, the kid was annoying (in fact she ruined another film for me and had a known she was in it I wouldn't have bothered) The film itself seemed confused as to what it was, half was like a grown up movie and then you had the know it all kid like she was on some kind of brownie project making it sort of a kiRAB film, which it wasn't. It had promise as a story but to me it was just so badly done. I actually had a little laugh at the end when it was blatantly left open for a sequel that they felt that confident :D
