I live in Victoria, BC and am looking at used car dealerships in the Seattle and Portland region. I'm wondering the cost of duty on a $5000-$10,000 car. I've also heard that if you register it to someone who lives in the US for a year then you will not have to pay duty when you reregister it to Canada? Any insight? Thanks.
