Pups of Liberty

Saw this on Cartoon Brew the other day.

You know, while it may be a clich? concept, this has to be the most adorable thing I've seen in years. Really, it's nice to see an independent work that doesn't just go for cheap gross-outs.

Most of the crew is from Disney. That may have something to with it not trying to be "Ren and Stimpy". Also this is the same production company that did "The Chestnut Tree".

Looks cute enough, although I'm not sure why dogs represent freedom while cats represent servitude. Ah well, suppose "Amerifeline" wouldn't have worked.

That is weird when you think about it, isn't it? What with cats being the independent ones.... ah, well, it's probably just because cats are so much easier to make evil than dogs are.

Same deal with the live action movie Cats & Dogs (2001). As you say, it must just be easier to portray cats as being evil, since they're more independent than dogs are.

Well, for what its worth, I have a cat, and I like cats more than dogs, and I didn't care for the movie Cats & Dogs. But I think this film is just plain adorable. Besides, there's always Lackadaisy for my feline fix.
