ok, i just got a 7week old puppy today, when it sits on my lap its calm, but when its in its cage, it whines alot alot, and i got a sister which is 1 years old and she needs to sleep.i need a solution to make him stop whining.

First of all, 7 weeks is too young for a puppy to leave it's mother. That said, your puppy is just that - a baby. He is missing his mother and his litter mates. He is used to their warmth when he sleeps, as well as the smell of them, and the rhythm of his mother's heartbeat.

Put a shirt or towel that has your scent on it in his cage with him. Put a warm (not hot) water bottle under his bedding to keep him warm. You can also put a clock that ticks next to his cage to simulate his mom's heartbeat. Put the cage in your room so he knows you are near. Soon he will calm down. You've only had him for one day! Give him a chance to get acclimated. He is scared and nervous, as you would be if you were suddenly taken from your family!

your puppy will cry because she is yelling for her littermates and mother aka her pack. What you can do to calm her down...do trust exericese with her and pretty much spoil her until she realize that you are trusted and now she is in your pack. the wining will at most last a week or two then will be way better. try when you go to bed let her lay beside you for a while put the cage by your side and tell her its okay and pet her.

You should first make him accustomed to its crate. It takes a week or two for him to see it as his bedroom. leave toys in it and place the crate somewhere he can see you, so he won't be too scared. and Don;t lock the door just yet.
He should feel like going in there is a good thing, not like a punishment.

How would you feel if you just got to a new place and got locked up in a cage. Not feeling so happy I am sure.

It's only the first couple hours. Be prepared for a very long night tonight, You won;t be able to sleep for couple weeks as you'll have to take him out to pee every 2 to 3 hours.

Please be patient. But if you aren;t ready for the work just return him to its breeder.

well try for the first few weeks to keep it in you room next to your bed. still in the cage so when it whines just put your hand down so it knows your still there. sometimes their just scared.
