My puppy definitely prefers to sleep with me at night, but I have a problem: he pees in the bed while I'm asleep. However, whenever I put him in his cage to sleep, he whines and barks very loudly and his sounds are so high-pitched, they're almost unbearable. I've put blankets and towels in there, and a few toys, and I tried pulling the cage up close to my bed to see if that would comfort him, but it doesn't. It would also be difficult to move the cage anywhere else, because he'll cry for hours upon hours. I understand this comes with adopting a new puppy and a lot of tolerance and patience comes with training them, but is there anyway I can make him feel more comfortable in his cage until he's housebroken and stops peeing in my bed?
We've only had this puppy for a week, and he's only been sleeping in my bed for the past four days. He was sleeping in the cage before.
Also, he's two and a half months old.
