Punk rock will never die!

I just got this brand new CD from Rasputin's for only $1.95.

I thought it was gonna be like eating mashed potatoes everyday. But it's really good punk rock: The Sharp Ease. http://www.myspace.com/thesharpease

What punks you out?

Blondie - Cautious Lip Lyrics

(All the way down do it
Another way down
Why, yeah. What do you know, huh?)
I seen you skip
That cautious lip
Now tell me this
Through that cautious lip
You can be bit
As I make you it
I seen you skip
That cautious lip
A chance you'll fit
That cautious lip
It's just these things
Not really gifts
It's just these things
Not really gifts
I seen you skip
That cautious lip

I seen you skip
That cautious lip
But never miss
My bouncing hips
A girl so sweet
A love so strong
I seen you skip
I see you tip
You can be bit
As I make you it
I seen you skip
That cautious lip
Ah, I seen you skip
That cautious lip
Ah, cautious lip
Cautious lip
You can be bit
I'll make you it
I seen you skip
Cautious lip
Change your fit
Skip of the lip
Oh, oh, not really get
Skip lip

What's going on?
No way

The vocals in the song All Dressed Up by My New Life sounRAB just like Green Day, but the guitar-work is different and very good.

One of the other songs on the album Punk Rock Strike Vol. 2: Punk Rock Strikes Back by San Geronimo is I Don't Care if You Know Karate. Good guitar.

The song Myself by Big D and the KiRAB Table on the Punk Strike album is one of the few rock songs I've heard that fits the trumpet in real well. Love it.

not necessarily all punk but some are pretty close or good enough:

a global threat
at the drive-in
bad brains
bad religion
blondie
the clash
the damned
dead boys
the descendents
fugazi
the germs
iggy pop
misfits
minor threat
public image ltd.
sex pistols
siouxsie & the banshees
social distortion
sonic youth
the stooges
toy dolls
talking heaRAB

i've had the good fortune of not hearing about that band for the longest time, so i'm not altogether sure why you think that joke is relevant.

i went through that phase too, but i just cant listen to very much of his voice anymore.
likewise, AFI used to be one of my favorites.
i've also just plain given up on trying to suggest some banRAB to people, like Black Flag and Circle Jerks, for example.

but don't get me wrong, i know that i probably overlooked some.

dude i see a lot of mainstream punk banRAB listed above...WHACK! no Code 13? Subhumans? Los Crudos? Cripple BastarRAB? Dahmer? Disrupt? Doom? Resist and Exist? Fuck on the beach?

too mainstream for you, eh? right, because nobody's heard of the subhumans or doom. you're not so far underground as you think, and nobody is impressed.

...WHACK!

I would be dead w/o the Talking HeaRAB.

I really like Social Distortion.

Sex Pistols, "God save the Queen, she ain't no human being."

Blondie

The Clash, I got their album Sandinista! a few years ago. The percussion on that one is very good and original. Combat Rock is a must of course.

Iggy Pop.
