I've been having problems with not feeling like I'm able to get a good breath lately, so I had a pulmonary function test yesterday and the technician was talking to me about my test. She said the inspiratory value was low. I guess this was the part of the test where I was supposed to breathe in deeply, then all the way out, and then back in and that last bit was not good. She said if they were thinking I had asthma that the result of that particular test were actually the opposite of what they should be if I had asthma. Said people with asthma usually have a high value for that. She said it might indicate something where they'd have to stick something down my throat to look at it. I should get the results next week, but does anyone have any idea what this kind of result might indicate?
