I have a 4 year old Pug who's a little on the tubby side. I'm trying to get him into a walking routine but sometimes I feel like it’s too much. He can walk about 4-5 blocks before he just stops. He gets really worked up and starts breathing heavy (Pug owners, you know that snorting breathing sound they do…) and I end up carrying him for a block or two. I try to keep him out for at least 20-25 mins.
Is this too much for him? Should I tone down the length of walks or allow him to break?
