I just finished writing a story about chil hood traumas having to live with a schizophrenic father. I'm trying to have it published. I contacted one publisher and they wanted to charge me $399 to publish it, and a half of a cent each word to edit it. Is this normal? I always thought that the book was published than the publisher profited of of that? Can some please let me know of some really good publishers to go with? Thanks
