Fuck "Pucblic Transportation". I hate it. These fucking bus drivers in my neighborhood have a set schedule to stick to and they don't. it's the easiest rout in brooklyn and it's 2 in the morning and this motherfucker cant wait untill 2 to leave.. I mean really I even made sure to leave ten mintus early. fuck fuck fuck. shit.

A steady problem with public transportation. I had to deal with this during highschool. We got the busses that would start running early and this started making us (everyone student living in my area) late. There is a contact number that you can call to report things like this, as people have to rely on this service to get to work, school, and such.

My mom (rest in peace) was a bus driver.

When I got my first place, I had to ride the bus to work everyday because we only had one car. It got me to work, and it got me home. I lost a couple hours out of my day unfortunately, but we were fed.

I don't hate on most bus drivers. They deal with a lot of assholes throughout the course of the day, when they're just doing what their boss tells them. If they're not handling things the way they should be, just take lee's advice.

Fuck I hated the bus. I did meet a lot of interesting fuckers, that's for sure.

Isn't it weird how, in no matter where in the world you live, the air conditioner never works right on the bus? When it's 10,000 degrees outside there's no cool air on the bus. When it's freezin' like antartica the heat is either off or it gets so friggin' hot on the bus that it amplifies whatever funk is on the bus seats.

i hate that.

then there's that kid that cries so loud that your ears bleed - you know that kid. That little ankle-biter just sounds off and purposly pisses his/her mom off cuz they want attention.

oh, an how about that idiot listening to their ipod/mp3/cd player....they just decided to give everyone on the bus a free concert - and their voice sounds like nails on a chalk board.

do you guys have these same problems? So far, I've chatted with friends in several states and they ALL experienced that same stuff. Suck-ass public transportation is universal I guess. :thumbsdn:

I've had the crying baby, and a few times the A/C wasn't working... but if anyone pulled this here, someone would get their asses handed to them. For the most part, people on the bus here are quiet. There's a "don't fuck with me, I won't fuck with you" attitude.

I have noticed that the bus usually always has a special aroma of the day. One day it's armpits, the next day it's dirty homeless person nuts.

I've had to rely on public transportation in the past, but I never really had a problem with it when I did. There was the issue of not having consistent transport during the early morning hours. I had to ride my bike 2 miles just to get to a route that was active during that time of day.

These days, however, I don't even have access to public transportation where I live. My left foot and my right foot are basically it.

I hate the bus system here. The buses are always well conditioned in the air department and typically smell decently, I just hate the erratic timing. If I miss the bus? No worries! I just have to wait an hour and a fucking half (no exageration on several of the bus routes) for the next one.

I have to get out to the stop about 15 minutes before the bus comes to ensure he isn't early. Many times he's 15 minutes late, and there's nothing for me to do about it.

Fortunately, I get a free ride on the bus because I'm a student. Federal funding FTW!

As far as noise, there are active conversations with strangers which are oddly almost always pleasant and enlightening, I've never dealt with a screaming child because people here believe your child is everyone's responsibility and will actively voice this (i.e. telling you to "shut your damn kid up!" often with support of the bus driver). The same applies to the "singers". Little old ladies, though, rule the buses like queens. They are not to be fucked with or you everyone around you will make your bus trip very uncomfortable.

Hah, I've ditched the ol' bus for my bicycle. Everything I need to get to is within a few miles and, sadly, I'm faster than the bus. Some bus drivers will even race me and purposefully cut me off at an intersection.

Ahhh, public transportation. I share my buses with the severely retarded and the homeless.

I get to sit next to people that pee/vomit on themselves and smell like stagnant water. Great.
