I am a 70yr old man about to have my bladder removed by keyhole, has anybody had or know someone who has had this procedure. I would like to know the recovery length of time and experiences. I will have a bag after it is removed and I would like to know other peoples views please
 
Slightly off topic, but taking supplements of vitamin c and zinc can significantly reduce healing times. They are dirt cheap, freely avaliable from your pharmacy and safe.

It might be worth asking your surgeon if s/he would be ok with you taking them for a few days before and a few weeks after your surgery.
