I am going to get a perfect score on the SAT's. Not only am I (supposed to be) smart, test taking is my specialty.
Only one person has ever done it at my high school before... I'm going to keep taking it until I get a perfect score (hopefully it will only take one or two tries).
My test-taking tips:
Read EVERYTHING at least twice. I can't stress this enough.
When you don't know the answer, use COMMON SENSE. Scan it for anything that rings a bell, and go from there. I'm sure you've heard this before, but... on multiple choice, there are two "Obvious" wrong answers and one "Distractor". You have to eliminate the obviously incorrect ones, and then try to figure out which one is correct and which one is the distractor. Then you've got the answer.
And most of all, DON'T STRESS. This is even more low-pressure than the tests you take in normal class, because you can re-take it.
I never study for tests (haven't since I was like in first grade... I failed a test after studing for it, and said "fuck it"... just with less profanity), and I do fine because I keep a clear head. Do the same, and you're well on your way to a good score.
 Good luck!
