PSAT's/SAT's

It's like the SAT but easier. My school counselor said fuck the SAT and take the ACT. Many colleges will take either score. The ACT is based on a grading scale of 36. All I really know about it is that I got a 22 and I don't have to re-take it if I don't want to. Here's a link that explains it better than me.

take a few mints with you and eat them while you take the test. I've heard that it helps stimulate your mind in some way. It works for me when I take exams at school.

no no no. i got like a 1250 on the psat my junior year, the story was concerning my initial and retake of the actuall SAT. but yea like mag said, the ACT is a shitload easier (so i hear), the only thing i would worry about it taking these things early (in your high school career) if you wait till your senior year, its a lot of pressure.

Okie doke.. Well I think it's too late to look into the ACT.. And with the mints.. Would certs or mentos or tic-tacs work? I'll try anything!

I've heard affirmations work to, like recording yourself saying "You can do it!" Hah sounds interesting.. I'm going to listen to some inspiring SKA music before the test as well.. I'm pulling out all the stops now

I am going to get a perfect score on the SAT's. Not only am I (supposed to be) smart, test taking is my specialty.

Only one person has ever done it at my high school before... I'm going to keep taking it until I get a perfect score (hopefully it will only take one or two tries).

My test-taking tips:

Read EVERYTHING at least twice. I can't stress this enough.

When you don't know the answer, use COMMON SENSE. Scan it for anything that rings a bell, and go from there. I'm sure you've heard this before, but... on multiple choice, there are two "Obvious" wrong answers and one "Distractor". You have to eliminate the obviously incorrect ones, and then try to figure out which one is correct and which one is the distractor. Then you've got the answer.

And most of all, DON'T STRESS. This is even more low-pressure than the tests you take in normal class, because you can re-take it.

I never study for tests (haven't since I was like in first grade... I failed a test after studing for it, and said "fuck it"... just with less profanity), and I do fine because I keep a clear head. Do the same, and you're well on your way to a good score.

 Good luck!

PSAT, SAT, ACT.... all they test is how good you are at taking tests. the questions aren't hard, they just try to freak you out with the format and the formality and the damn #2 pencils. so ignore all that shit. there's only like two rules, use a #2 and stay within your time limits. and just relax, and you'll be fine.

yep i got that tomm too.. good luck, we'll need it cause i heard its not really something u can study for but concepts we have learned thoughout our years of school and vocab and shit.

there is nothing wrong with ska :P, if caffeine doesn't work, then you could always get some adderal from a friend, that makes you study. If thats not available to you, just get alot of sleep, drink some coffee in the morning and study.
