PSA: Harry Potter books are for children.

I read "talented" authors such as Proust, Swift, Conrad etc. but I still enjoy Harry Potter as much as anyone. The books are well written and have good plots. The later books are too dark to be called "children's books" imo.
There are people being manipulated, coerced, tortured and killed.
Even published college professors like Harry Potter.

I just finished For Fuck's Sake by Robert Lasner, just started Failed States by Noam Chomsky, and I've got Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murikami waiting in the wings

no no no. Take for example Super Mario series games, they seem like inoffensive but general idea of them is to crush your enemies and use occultist powers, it is not normal when somebody grows giant from eating a mushroom or throws fireballs from their hands by touching a fire-flower, even the opponents were bad looking and scary to me and even my friends, creatures like ghost and skeletons and such.
