PS3 / XBOX 360 / WII - best for madden

i love madden
all i really play is madden

all these new games look fucking fun as hell, for example, nintendo WII and all its crazy games and they look really fun with that new controllers

however, madden is my main concern

whats the best system for madden. i heard WII is fun, but will i be able to pick up the controllers and play a quick game with my friends who havnt tried/played WII or does it take a lot of training?

It's not 360. The 360 is almost identical to the ps3 version except ps3 has gang tackling and some motion controls with the sixaxxis. I haven't rented madden yet for my Wii but i play 07 on my ps3 everyday. I love it. The Wii might be fun but the graphics for madden doesn't look to great. Its between the ps3 and wii though. Madden 09 is gonna be the best one yet.
 
360, it's texture qulity is better in just about all games. The graphics on the 360 are generally all around better, but barely. Here's a whole article of proof if you would like. This link goes directly to Madden, but you can view the other games too obviously.

What really puts 360 over the top is installed user base and Xbox Live.
 
It depends on you the player. I myself like the ps3 version because I'm so used to the controller from the past. The setup is just easier for me to do jukes and such. The graphics really look close. I have both versions and I can tell you that if you're really playing, you're not going to notice jack shit in difference. The gameplays just to fast to sit there and say "hey, that blade of grass has more texture than the ps3 version..."

So far, I havn't been impressed w/ what EA has had to offer on next gen in terms of Madden at least. I'm a franchise snob, so that may be part of it. But either way, I'm hoping they really ramp shit up for this coming year now that all 3 next gen consoles are finally out and they can release it on them all at the same time. And then I'll read reviews before deciding which one to pick.
 
I hope the next Madden is programmed specifically to each system. I'm playing playing all the EA games on the ps3 and they just seem like mere ports more than anything.
 
Pfffft, fat chance on that. EA is such a piece of shit company, the Battlefield series has had loads of buggy releases. Shit, it was even like Madden 06 or something where the released a broken game or something like that (I remember hearing about it).

EA is all about the bucks, the push their developers to get it out the door as fast as they can. That's why when ever a good company gets bought by them you can almost count on it going down the shitter. This is why I was sad to hear EA has a hand in on the upcoming Hellgate:London by Flagship Studios (most of whom have former Blizzard fame).
 
i like the playstation controllers a hell of a lot more then xbox and that is just magnified playing sports games.... so much more control with ps controllers, so PS3 would win for me hands down
 
it is unbelievably fun. it takes maybe 5 minutes or so to get used to the controls, but once you do that, it just wont be the same playing it again on another system. once you try it out i think your mind will be set.
 
Damn it... that game's by EA? Guess I'm waiting for reviews for it now.

I like companies like id Software, Bioware, Bungie, Ubisoft, etc. where I can just buy there game and KNOW it's going to be good. EA throws a huge wrench into that gear box. I hate them more than I hate Sony as a company (PS3 is fine, Sony as a company are pieces of shit.)

All I play is madden as well. I'm not a huge gamer but I like sports games.
My g/f got me a wii. I sold back madden in 3 days. It is a nightmare on the wii with all the stupid motions like having to put your arms up to swat a ball in pass D. The throwing motion with your arm is fun for about 3 passes then gets annoying.

Don't do it man.....I'm thinking of returning my wii because madden is the only game i really play.
 
are you serious? the EA servers fucking suck, online for madden is fucking horrible no matter what version. Also, in the ps3 version you can create players.
