360 is at the same price. Maybe retailers are dropping it in price, but manufacturer isnt dropping it.
 
Probably, but if they built it well then most people will only buy one, unlike the PS3 which may make people buy 2+ by time it's phased out because they keep dieing.
 
the ps2 is not the ps3 you stupid fuck. two different consoles, two different prices, two different collection of games, two different everything except for the same company.
 
Im loyal to companies that put an effort to bring the best system out.

I used to own a ps2, and might get a ps3 when good games actually come out for it, besides resistance which is pretty much the only decent game out for it.
 
That will encourage some ex-PS2 owners to move to X360... but that won't stop the people who already have their minds set on the PS3.
 
that one year accounts for millions of sales, a bigger userbase, which gives devs more incentive to develop for that console, which accounts for more games, which accounts for even more sales.

now that 360 is in that position, with the highest userbase, the most games, good games, and more incentive for devs to develop for it. not to mention its a lot easier to develop for.

even konami is trying to force metal gear to the 360.

I do know this. what I'm saying is that manufacturing cost is going to put off price reductions, which I think the ps3 is going to need to sell well.
