ps3 return policy

I thought I read somewhere that stores extended their return policy for the ps3 from 15 days to like 60. I have a 20GB I am returning and I have a gift receipt (from toysrus). What should I expect? I called yesterday and they said as long as it's not open I can get my money back. So of course I doctored it up and it looks like it was never opened. But I'd really like to find that policy on the extension...

So, if the product is fault but its open, you can't return it?

Here, if its faulty you can return it, un opened or not.

with a gift receipt NO... not for cash. B/c they say that's what the warranty is for so I would have to send it to Sony. BS, I boxed it back up like new, made a new circular sticker, out of an old one taped to a paper cutout, and taped it to the box. This thing looks better sealed then most new PS3's so I don't think they are gonna give me any shit...

Thats strange I bought an HDTV about a month ago, it was very fucked up saw a better one for cheaper just got a refund.

The return policy is 30 days, and like new condition. That bull crap if they say you cant return it because its open. How else would you know its "Broken"?
