You're not technologically inclined to appricate the system. The only innovative leap (i.e. new) in the Xbox can possibly be attributed to the GPU. Everything else is the usual flare. With the wii it's the controller and how it interacts with the games (very fun indeed).
With the PS3 ... there's a long list beginning with the Bluray (yes people hate the propritory bs [although it's not the main reason sony chose this format], but don't seem to be flaming HD-DVD or even the DVD format that Sony helped ... yes i repeat helped launch), cell processor (considering it can be likened to the processors used in SGI systems is saying a whole lot), and backwards compatibility 13 years into the past generations + ability to play other video games from other systems (atari, nintendo (yes mario on a sony), turbographix16, etc.) it might be alittle easier to see the innovation if you didn't put your blinders on whenever people hear the name Sony.
I guess Microsoft went through a simular phase when they were considered a monopolizing company. The good thing is that with these added leaps in technology and the giant community of opensource/free software development, it's going to be fun to see where we're going in the not too distant future.
