Ps3 + Hdmi

I have an LCD monitor that I want to hook my ps3 up to. It has a DVI input and I can easily get an hdmi to dvi converter to get that working. The problem is sound. Is there such a thing as an HDMI to DVI and RCA cable? If so, where could I find one. If not, does anyone know a solution?

I'm not sure how to solve that. Is there a separate output on the PS3 for an optical audio cable? If not, you might have to just use component HD cables if your monitor accepts it.

you can tell the PS3 to output sound through different cables than the video. Like I am using HDMI for video and sound is going out through optical. You can also change that to "audio input connector / SCART / AV Multi" and just use the cable that came with your PS3 for the sound.

Just go under /Settings/Sound Settings/Audio Output Settings

You have to have an HDCP compliant LCD monitor for it to work. Good luck though. I tried it on mine and it wouldn't display the signal.
