you got some people to be selling this theroy becasue so far looks like ps3 owners are ok this this problem vs the 360s list of problems.

60 gig and its freezing. I called rockstar and they told me uninstall everything...I already have over 10 hours played in the game though. I don't want to fucking start from scratch. Thats bullshit.

That is what Take Two is telling everyone to to. Disable almost everything about your PS3 (even delete the browser cache), then delete the game and your saves then start new.

Fortunatly, all that is required is to disconnect from the internet like you said.

what?!? all 360 owners are master programers?

oh you mean the towel trick im sure thats good for the rest of the system to over heat the circut board like that.

RRoD cooking instructions:

place your xbox wrapped tightly inside 2 or 3 towels so that the head stays inside cook on high for 30mins, let cool for 20mins server with a chilled merlot and a side of fanboizum.

you make me lolz

Rockstar and T2 have figured out what the problems are. Anyone that has a "newer" PS3 just requires a patch that should be out very soon (tomorrow was hinted) but anyone with a launch system will require a firmware update and that will most likely take longer to come out then the patch.

Edit: because there are 2 problems occurring, one for non launch systems and one for launch systems.

And for anyone that cares, the non-launch systems are just having a problem with the networking in the PS3. But the launch systems are actually having an issue with the their chips conflicting with the game code for GTA4

Nah, most of OT is smart enough to build a computer. Fixing RRoD isn't much harder, unless you have no idea what a screw/washer/screwdriver is. No need to program anything broski.

Look up x-clamp fix if you're interested.

if it was that easy M$ wouldnt have spend a billion dollars on a 3 year warrenty... stop wasting my time you fuckn fanboy loser go play halo

Is anyone now having problems inviting friends to multiplayer games?/ everytime i accept an invite or give one it starts loading then says this game is no longer in session returning to single player mode.

Did they fix the problem? I accidentally loaded the game with my network connected and noticed it when it told me my friends were logging in and out. So I tried multiplayer and it worked

I've tried loading it with the network enabled every day and it just doesn't load. Now it suddenly works?

I think it's random depending on the mission you're on. I played for a good 5 hours since launch day with no problems. Even did some multiplayer.

Then one day it just wouldn't load a mission until I disabled it.

May 7, 2008 - If you're like us, trying to play Grand Theft Auto IV online has been harder than whacking a mob boss in Honkers. The game crashes, it won't let you into matches, and sometimes, it won't even let you break into teams.

Rockstar's here to fix those problems.

Today, the company behind GTA IV announced that it has released a patch to fix the bugs plaguing the PlayStation 3.
