PS3 anything I need to do now...

So I just got the component cables today. I was using the composite that came with the PS3. My tv has been running at 480i I believe. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=4872141

Is there anything I need to do in the setup after I change the cables or will it change to 1080i by itself? Thanks!

you'll have to change the video output settings in the dashboard

Just change it to component and then pick 1080i, if it's there?

yup, and it'll ask you to confirm etc...

Unless they have fixed it....if your TV cannot support 720p, you can only run in 480i/p. It will not let you run 1080i.

Did they? Cuz I remember reading that they did an update that addressed a 1080i issue.....but it wasn't that one.
