PS2 outsells all consoles in November

They are equating the PS3 with an actual Blu-ray player, which is fine. But like the article said there's no way to know if people that bought the PS3 bought it for Blu-ray movies. I would bet money that the 42,000 360 HD-DVD add-ons sold more actual HD-DVD movies than the 197,000 PS3's sold Blu-ray movies.

It's called competition. First to market is a very important thing. Rushed research, rushed design, rushed products. The 360 came out a full year ahead of the PS3, I don't think Sony had ANY choice but to rush the PS3.

That being said, I disagree that it's too early for next gen counsels. HDTV prices are falling steadily and people want those HD graphics. However, for $600, it's not worth it to most people to buy a PS3.

I know, I'm not faulting the PS3 on this either....when the 360 launched, I said it was too soon as well. They could have all benefitted from some more time on the shelf.
