I have done some charity work with prostitutes and would like to conduct a kind of straw pole regarding public feelings towards them?
Do you think they are evil? Disgusting? scum of the earth? or do you think they are entitled to do what they want and they aren't hurting anyone
My main reason for this is that whilst out on the streets with them I have seen the level of abuse they receive from passers by and can't believe how much people hate them.
When providing your view can you please provide a reason

I appreciate the answers so far but no one has given a good reason as to why they would be abusive to the girls - have you had a bad experience?
In my experience they are sweet young girls, some of them have no other skills to get a job, some are addicted to drugs, some are homeless.
There is an issue with unemployment in this country and also with crime, what else could these giorls do at least they are earning a living, funding their drug habits by not theiving!
In terms of it being men or women, from what I've seen it was mainly men, but the girls said it was mainly women.
Not one person has given a real reason for their hate.
Its very idealistic to suggest that the women can just get themselves off drugs and into gainful employment. an addiction is an addiction - whatever it is to it is hard to get off it.
Think about it you are or were a smoker - if you eat too much choc etc!

Many of the women I have met have a fierce loyalty to each other and equally shuun those women who do fight or steal as in their own words ' gives them a bad name'
Get a grip and actually meet them before making sweeping generalisations
