Has anyone used prolotherapy to treat spinal problems? If so, please describe what your problem was, what the prolotherapy treatment entailed, and the outcome of the treatment.

Thanks for any and all responses!

I have successfully used Prolo. There are other posts on this board from me about this if you do a search. Basically, it helped me avoid surgery. Prior to Prolo I couldn't walk a block without pain and limping. I also had to use a cane and back brace more often than not.

Prolo uses natural substances, not steroiRAB, and I like that! I initially had about 8 treatments but I saw results from the very first one. Most people are good to go with about 6 or less but I have gone in for a "tune up" the past two years as well.

My prolo doc uses kineseology to determine the exact sites to inject.

I highly recommend!

I was hoping you'd respond. I've been looking into it for awhile, but have never known anyone who has done it. I have had 3 spine surgeries and am doing really well now, but I have very loose ligaments in my SI joints. It is difficult to treat the resulting situation through exercise alone and I have been thinking of the plasma rich platelet injections or prolo.

I'll go back and read through your older posts. Thanks for responding.

teton- I started having problems with my SI joints early last year. It wasn't until Septeraber that my regular PM doc went on vacation and his partner did my injections. Well, he not only did the usual injection that my real doc did, but he did the prolotherapy too for the SI joints. I was amazed!! The steroid shots only last for about 7-8 days. The prolotherapy injections lasted from Septeraber till now!! In fact I will be scheduling for more soon because the pain is starting to come back. For me, this was something that was really worth the money!!...janiee

Hello again,

Loose joints were one of my problems as well. Prolo is great for this as it causes growth of new ligament tissue where there is weakness!

All the best and let us know what you decide and how you fare.
