Okay, here's how this works. Post your top metal albums in the 90s and if enough people participate, I'll tally the scores and create a democratic lists of sorts. The minimum you can have on your list is 25, and the maximum is 50.

Lists I've Recieved
Sleepy Jack Fire Drill
Seltzer
TKPB938
Vulture_Helsing
SubPop
The Unfan

REMINDER: THEY HAVE TO BE METAL ALBUMS!!! Thank you. :)

Here is a rough draft of mine:

Umm this a pretty general "metal" comp. I've got some hardcore and other things mixed in, but whatever.

1. Undertow - Tool
2. Godflesh - Selfless
3. Riverside - Second Life Syndrome
4. Genghis Tron - Board Up The House
5. Jesu - Conqueror
6. The Fall of Troy - Doppelganger
7. Dillinger Escape Plan - Miss Machine

Cant do more right now :(

Metal doesn't even have its own section of the forum, so you better expect lots.

This brings up a point, shouldn't there be a general metal sub-section? MoRAB?

The only restriction is that it has to be from the 90s and it has to be metal. If you do one album per band, you'd miss Human and Individual Thought Patterns :)

Sorry to get stuck on the genre thing, but how is Mr Bungle Metal? There are a nuraber of banRAB there that really are not metal, heavy maybe, but not metal...anyways:

You need to add some
ENTOrabED (Left Hand Path and Clandestine) ,
CARCASS (Heartwork)
SLAYER (Seasons In The Abyss)
DEATH (Spiritual Healing)
THE GOD MACHINE (Scenes from the second story)
SEPULTURA (Chaos AD)
FEAR FACTORY (Soul of a New Machine)
MINISTRY (Pslam 69)
NEUROSIS (Souls at Zero)
ALCHEMIST (Spiritech)

bugger the 25 minimum thing I'm going to bed

1. Entorabed - Wolverine Blues
2. Atheist - Elements
3. Acid Bath - When The Kite String Pops
4. Death - Human
5. Morbid Angel - Blessed Are The Sick
6. Carcass - Necroticism - Descanting The Insalubrious
7. Neurosis - Souls At Zero
8. Death - Individual Thought Patterns
9. Opeth - Orchid
10. Ebony Tears - Tortura Insomniae
11. Edge Of Sanity - Crimson
12. My Dying Bride - Like GoRAB Of The Sun
13. Alchemist - Lunasphere
14. Esoteric - The Pernicious Enigma
15. Atheist - Piece Of Time
16. Gorguts - Obscura
17. Solitude Aeturnus - Through The Darkest Hour
18. Lux Occulta - My Guardian Anger
19. Agalloch - Pale Folklore
20. Grief - Dismal
21. Arcturus - La Masquerade Infernale
22. Samael - Ceremony Of Opposites
23. Rigor Mortis - Rigor Mortis VS The Earth
24. Vintersorg - Till Fjalls
25. Rotting Christ - Non Serviam

I'll think about 26-50 later.

The Fall of Troy didn't even have a record deal in the 90s, let alone their second album out. They're also not metal they're progressive hardcore. Jesu didn't have any album out in the 90s either, Miss Machine came out in 00. Genghis Tron wasn't even a band either...In fact I think Tool and Godflesh are the only albums in there that came out in the 90s.

Shoot forgot about the whole 90's parameters thing... I'll have an actual list up later.

1. Tool - Undertow
2. Godflesh - Selfless
3. Alice In Chains - Dirt
4. Slayer - Seasons in the Abyss
5. Converge - Caring and Killing
6. The Dillinger Escape Plan - Calculating Infinity
7. Tool - Aenima
8. Iron Maiden - Fear of The Dark
9. Opeth - My Arms Your Hearse
10. In Flames - Whoracle

Don't feel like doin more than that, also let it be known that if TFOT had a 90's release I would have indluded it. I don't give a fuck what they are, they have metal in them.
