Hello,
I was recently involved in a minor car accident, a Progressive customer hit the back of my car. At a glance you would only assume the damage was aesthetic, My car still drove perfectly. When Progressive took the car for repairs they claimed the cost of repairs was more than the value of the car and declared my car totaled. They offered Nada Blue Book value of the car to me, the amount was not enough to get my back into the status I was before the accident, but enough get me going. I wasn't happy with this outcome at all but it was the best outcome I was going to get. Progressive later called me to find out I was getting less than what was offered due to a previous salvage the car had on its title. To wrap things up, I am loosing my car due to an accident that I was not at fault and Progressive is giving me barely enough for me to get back in the same situation, Causing me to loose a reliable car I felt would have lasted a few more years before its end.
I am aware that Progressive is doing everything by book (well I assume). Do I have any options? Is there some way to work around this situation? All I am interested is getting back to where I was before the accident.
There are more details to this situation, if you have any questions please feel free to ask
I appreciate any help and thanks ahead for taking the time to read this.
