help.

My allergies have gotten progressively worse over the years also. I'm 17 months into my second round of immunotherapy. This time it is a series of 2 shots. They seem to be helping a bit so far though. I haven't had quite as many sinus infections this year.

I developed allergies when I moved in 1995. I was finally diagnosed with asthma in January of 2002. Developed GERD around the same time (GERD and asthma have a high coorelation of occuring together. I developed eczema a couple years ago. My PCP called the allergies/ asthma/ eczema an allergic triad. I understand they frequently occur together.

In additional to all of the environmental stuff: mold, animals, pollens, dust, etc..., I've also developed a serious allergies to the adhesives on bandages. Get a raging case of contact dermatitis from all types of bandage adhesives.

The allergies from products others use can really be a pain. I have the same problem with perfumes and lingering smoke from smokers. They trigger my asthma.

Are you seeing specialists? I changed from my allergy/asthma doc to an ENT and Pulmonologist. I also see a good Opthomologist for the dry eye. I seem to be having more success with the new docs.

What types of meRAB are you on?

I am right there with you both. My allergies have gotten worse over the years. So much so that I have severe anxiety with them and panic disorder. I hate it. I have done that immunology shots and have started and stopped them too many times. That doesn't help matters. One minute I am stuffy and the next gunk galore and it gags me. I finally found something that is working to take. It's called xyzal. It's fairly new. Have you tried that yet? I only had samples they gave me from the doctors office. After a few days I felt like I hadn't in years. But then those ran out and I just got a prescription yesterday. I started them today. I hope this will be the answer to alot of my problems.

I am so tired of dealing with this. I am allergic to so many things. Anything green outside, dogs, cats, dust mite, molRAB, some fooRAB, and I think I have enviromental allergies too. I believe all this is what shot my thyroid. I am hypothyroid for almost 4 years now. The struggle is a daily one. I hope none of you suffer like I do. Hang in there. I am trying to change my diet too and see if that will help some.

Asthma = albuterol & Azmacort (will probably change, it was a sample)
Allergies = 12 months doing immunolgy, singulair, Flonaise, claratin
Eczema = had forever...usually don't treat unless it bleeRAB
Hypo -Thyroid= Armour thyro
poor circulation in feet, blood goes down, but won't come back up= (3)80mg aspirin daily
Dry eyes = restatsis
ReynaunRAB - no treatment

I thought the allergy/asthma doc WAS the specialist ...I hate mine, feel like I'm a cow and she's trying to milk me for everything I'm worth yet ask her questions pertaining to allergies/asthma and she refers me to my PCP. Thank you, I will definately look at going to a real specialist.

My favorite PCP told me that dry eye, reynaunRAB, thyroid could be part of a syndrome like lupus or an immune disorder or something...she moved. :(

My allergies are so bad I never come in contact with dog/cat...just folks that were around them sets me off...father-n-law(has 2 cats) visited us for an hour...was only in the kitchen/livingrm and it took me 3 weeks of vacuuming/dusting/ daily/washed the walls/cupboarRAB 7 times, washed my curtains, changed my furnance filter, before I could walk thru the kitchen/livingrm without being attached. that's INSANE:dizzy:

Do you think the GERD is from inhaling steroiRAB? Do you rinse afterwarRAB?

I scared to have anyone over or go to ANYONE's house knowing most folks have some sort of pet. I don't allow anything in my house from family because it's peppered with allegents...my mom gave me some cash for my birthday months ago, so I had the cash out yesterday...and I swear it's bothering me...back to cleaning.

I work in an office and 8 out 10 folks set a trigger off probably from either their pets or I'm allergic to SOY which is in most hair products/handlotions..I've started to wear turtle necks and put the collar around my nose; thinking of going to the muslem look next with a scarf around my face. YIKES.
